This piece is about black hair and its importance within our community. Black girls get taught to uphold their appearance from a very young age. We get told that it immediately reflects how we get viewed. There have been a lot of discussions about how black women should wear their hair in public, but honestly, do what you want. It's not up to society to pick what you do with your hair. All of our hair is beautiful from 1A to 4C and beyond. Edges laid or not !!!
